Welcome to Cross Plains

Home of the Barbarian Festival and hometown of Robert E. Howard, author of Conan the Barbarian.  Howard lived in Cross Plains from 1919-1936.  Project Pride has restored Robert Howard's home and converted it into a museum.   

Cross Plains is located southwest of the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, southeast of Abilene and North of Brownwood in Central Texas.  View map
